Smriti Sinha has made a mark in Hindi and Bhojpuri films and television serials. This talented actress hails from Bhagalpur in Bihar, and her birth-date is 4th September 1989.
Smriti Sinha started her acting career with the television serial ‘Sapna Babul Ka….Bidaai’ (2008); this show was hosted by Star Plus channel. Subsequently, she went on to appear in a host of other popular television shows. These include Crime Patrol (2008) on Sony TV, Horror Nights on Star One (2010), Suryaputra Karn (2015) on Sony TV, and Hindustan ka Big Star (2016) on Star Ganga.
Her debut Bhojpuri movie was ‘Rangeela Babu’, which was released in the year 2012; her co-star in her debut film was Dinesh Lal Yadav.
In her career spanning 10 years, Smriti has acted in about 50 Bhojpuri films. Plus, she is one of the few actresses who have been paired opposite several Bhojpuri superstars – including Ravi Kishan, Khesari Lal Yadav, and Manoj Tiwary.
Among the other notable films where Smriti has starred are Saajan Chale Sasural (2013), Saajan Chale Sasural 2 (2016), and Bandhan (2015). Her other Bhojpuri films include Lalten (2019), Bhag Khesari Bhag (2019), Parwarish (2019), Yeh Mohabbatein (2016), and Sajna Pe Dil Aa Gaya (2016).
Smriti has won several awards for her acting, too. In the year 2019, she won the Best Actress award for the film ‘Bhag Khesari Bhag’ at the Green Cinema Award Show that was held in Mumbai. The same year, she took home a ‘Special Award’ from the Bhojpuri Film Awards that were hosted in Mumbai.
